Sand

The Sand Engine is a pilot project in which 20 million cubical meters of sand will be superimposed as a super dune on the coastal system of Delfland. The Province of South-Holland has ordered 3D capacity to create a Virtual Scale Model, incorporating the entire coast from Hook of Holland to Kijkdijn, the Hague. For participation events, the presentation to the innovation platform and (international) events, one can navigate freely throughout the area and study the impact of the Sand Engine. An innovative project, presented in an innovative way!

Lifelike

"Once we had the Virtual Scale Model and all involved parties had the same lifelike reference image, debates about the Sand Engine took considerable less time." says Koen Oome, Employee Integral Water Policy and Program Manager Coast. "The texts and twodimensional images we used before, often lead to different interpretations."
